A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING HOUSTON E. STUCKEY FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE AND CONTRIBUTION TO THE MISSISSIPPI DIXIE YOUTH BASEBALL ORGANIZATION.

WHEREAS, Houston E. Stuckey of Columbia, Mississippi, has served for 37 years with faithful and tireless dedication to more than 23,000 youngsters that embody more than 150 Dixie Youth Baseball leagues in the State of Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, Houston E. Stuckey served the last 30 years as the State Director for the Dixie Youth Baseball, Inc. organization; and

WHEREAS, throughout his years of service, Houston E. Stuckey has sacrificed and dedicated his time and efforts, traveling the entire State of Mississippi in order to serve the youth of our state and the Mississippi Dixie Youth Baseball; and

WHEREAS, Dixie Youth Baseball is designed to be a recreational outlet solely for the enjoyment of youngsters age twelve and under; and

WHEREAS, Houston E. Stuckey has and always will be devoted to the youth of our state without any personal gain or satisfaction for himself, but only for the development of God-fearing, patriotic, and obedient young men and women, using Dixie Youth Baseball as a means to do so; and

WHEREAS, Houston E. Stuckey also served the residents of Marion County, Mississippi, as Circuit Clerk before his retirement; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to commend the exemplary service of its citizens:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend Houston E. Stuckey for his dedicated service and contribution to the Dixie Youth Baseball, Inc. organization.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution shall be furnished to Houston E. Stuckey and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
